Privacy policy

Strada Select ("we", "us") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal information we collect through stradaselect.com and in dealing with you, why we collect it, and how we handle it. We aim to handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

What we collect

Depending on how you use our services, we may collect:

• your name, mobile number and email address
• your suburb and state
• details about a car you want to sell, including its registration number or VIN, make, model, year, kilometres, condition, any damage, whether finance is owing, and photos
• details about a car you want to buy, including your budget, preferences, timeframe and any trade-in
• anything else you choose to tell us in a message, by email or by phone.

When you submit a form, our website also processes basic technical information such as your IP address, browser type and approximate location. This is used to protect our forms from spam and abuse.

How we use your information

We use your information to:

• respond to your enquiry and keep in touch with you about it
• obtain offers for your car from dealers in our network
• research, find and help negotiate a car that suits your needs
• keep records of our dealings with you, and meet our legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal information, and we won't send you marketing without your consent.

Who we share it with

• Dealers in our network. To get offers for your car, we share your car's details, including its rego or VIN and photos, with dealers. We share your name and contact details only with the dealer whose offer you choose to accept, so you can complete the sale.
• Sellers of cars we source for you. We share only what's needed to enquire about, inspect, negotiate and buy a car on your behalf.
• Service providers. We use Cloudflare to host this website, store form submissions, and deliver email notifications. We also use an email provider to communicate with you. These providers may store or process information outside Australia, including in the United States.
• Where required by law. For example, to comply with a court order or a request from a government authority.

Cookies

We don't use cookies for advertising or tracking.

How we store and protect it

We take reasonable steps to protect your personal information from misuse, loss and unauthorised access. Form submissions are stored securely with our hosting provider and sent to our business email. We keep your information only as long as we need it for the purposes above or as required by law, and then delete or de-identify it.

Accessing or correcting your information

You can ask to see the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by emailing hello@stradaselect.com. We'll respond within a reasonable time, usually within 30 days.

Complaints

If you have a concern about how we've handled your personal information, please contact us first at hello@stradaselect.com so we can try to resolve it. If you're not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The current version will always be on this page, with the date it was last updated.
